This is just settling in... I've told my husband and my two daughters, but I still need to tell it just to take it in. Guess who will be the first group to do the Crossings study? I should say, guess where Crossings is going to be studied? Afghanistan! Am I floored? Yes. Did I think the first group to study Crossings would be the church down the street? Yes. Did I even think Crossings would ever be studied? Hmmmm, not sure, hopeful. Did I ever dream that a group of girls in the military in Afghanistan would even hear of the study much less desire to do it? Never. Have I put two and two together that God has had me studying the Middle East and Afghanistan the past few months and that is where He is sending Crossings? Barely.

I am on a high over it and I am on my knees over it. Here's how it happened... a girl in the fall Crossings class has a daughter who is a physical therapist in the army in Afghanistan (no names until I have permission to use them). The daughter leads a small Bible study with a brigade psychologist and a West Point grad in Intel. The mom mentioned to the daughter that the study might be extremely pertinent since Joshua is such a wonderful military leader and strong spiritual mentor. They decided to give it a go and the lesson notes, leaders guide and DVD's are on their way to Afghanistan.
Never in a million years would I have imagined this! I hope that we can hear from them, pray for them and I can retell their amazing stories from the field.

PRAISE God for this! I am thrilled beyond measure for this. Can NOT wait to hear how God uses this study in this dark place. God is faithful and you are, too!!! Love you!

love, love, love this. God is so BIG - answering prayers in ways we could never think or imagine. Can not wait to here how He uses this study to strengthen hearts and bring His light into a very dark place. AWESOME!!!

I am floored. Wow. I will be praying. How exciting!!!!! The Holy Spirit brings forth the Truth to God's people at just the right time, doesn't He?
